Gender Identity and Transgender Issues

You're Not Alone…

If you have questions about your sexual orientation or gender identity, it can be very comforting and helpful to talk to people who know what you’re going through.

You can find people through local or online groups. If you don’t know where to find support:

  • talk to someone you trust and feel safe (e.g., friends, relatives, teachers, school counsellors, co-workers, healthcare providers)
  • look for LGBTQ clubs and organizations in your community
  • contact churches and faith-based communities that welcome LGBTQ members
  • look for web sites and online organizations that welcome LGBTQ members
