Children's Allied Health - Behavioural

Programs:

Kids in Control: An early intervention, skill building program to address identifying emotions, emotional expression, managing feelings of anger, using words to express feelings, and problem solving.

Kids in Between: A program to support children’s understanding of emotions and responses due to parental separation or divorce, explore on coping strategies to help express their feelings and adjust to the changes in the family.

Bravehearts: A program for children experiencing anxiety, sadness, or having difficulties developing independence and building confidence.

Sleep Education: Information and supports for parents to develop healthy sleeping habits in children and prevent sleep deprivation.

Services include:

  • Assist children in identifying and expressing their emotions.
  • Learn tools and strategies to help them manage emotions appropriately.
  • Assist children in expressing their feelings about their parent’s separation or divorce.
  • Learn positive coping strategies to assist children in adjusting to changes in the family.
  • Learn tools and coping strategies to nurture the child’s independence and improve confidence.
  • Parent Coaching- Behavioural consultation services for parents.

Families may self-refer. For third party referrals, parent/legal guardian must be aware of and give permission for referral.
