Interventional cardiologist
Interventional cardiologists are medical doctors who specialize in performing surgical or invasive procedures—such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stenting—to diagnose and treat heart disease.
Interventional cardiologists are not recognized as a separate medical sub-specialty but may be certified as internists or cardiologists through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
