Closing your account

Before you close your MyHealth Alberta Account

Closing your account will remove access to My Personal Records, MyChart, and records others have shared with you. Download or print your health information first if you want to keep a copy.

To do this in My Personal Records:

1. Go to My Personal Records
2. Go to Tools and Settings
3. Click Print Reports

To do this in My Chart

1. Follow the instructions provided in MyChart
2. Select the dropdown menu in the top right corner of the MyHealth Alberta Account page and select Close your account and follow instructions.

What closing your account means for your data:

Closing your MyHealth Alberta Account removes your access to My Personal Records and MyChart. Health information, message history, and other patient record information are not deleted from your record.

If you have shared your health information in My Personal Records or MyChart, the people you shared it with will lose access.
