Welcome to MyHealth Records

MyHealth Records is an online tool that allows Albertans 14 years of age and older to view their own health records. You may access and manage your immunization records, medication history, and most lab results in one safe spot on your computer, tablet or smartphone. Your fitness and wellness devices, such as blood pressure monitors, may be used to download your health information and your medical records can be shared with people you trust.

Parents/guardians can check their child's most recent COVID-19 test results.

Interact with your AHS and partner care teams and stay connected with your health records.

Get started with creating a MyHealth Records account

To access MyHealth Records for the first time, you have to follow two main steps:

  1. Create a MyAlberta ID Account
  2. Access your MyHealth Records Account by entering your health care number

MyHealth Records Features

MyHealth Records consists of three tools: My Personal Records, Children's COVID-19 Test Results, and MyAHS Connect. These tools help track and maintain overall health in different ways.

My Personal Records

Albertans 14 years of age and older can access their personal health information such as immunizations, medications and lab test results.

This tool allows you to do the following:

  • Access your COVID-19 test results
  • Add and store personal health information
  • View your lab test results
  • View your diagnostic imaging reports
  • See your medications filled at Alberta pharmacies
  • Print reports to share with your healthcare providers
  • Track information from devices such as blood pressure monitors or fitness trackers
  • Share your record with people you trust
  • Safely exchange messages with your healthcare providers

Children's COVID-19 Test Results

Parents/guardians can look up their child's most recent COVID-19 test results

To use this tool, you will need the following:

  • Your child's Alberta Personal Health Number (on their Alberta Personal Health Card)
  • The date of the child's most recent COVID-19 swab test (within the last 30 days)

MyAHS Connect

MyAHS Connect is an online AHS tool to access and interact with your AHS and partner health information and your healthcare team. MyAHS Connect empowers you to partner in your care and together with your healthcare team use the features to

  • Prepare for upcoming appointments
  • Communicate about ongoing treatment
  • Stay up-to-date on test results

You can get a MyAHS Connect account if you

  • Have visited an AHS or partner site that is using Connect Care
  • Are over the age of 14
  • Have a MyAlberta Digital ID

In Alberta, Connect Care will be implemented between November 2019 and November 2024.

MyAHS Connect is free and lets you do the following:

  • See personal health information including test results, immunizations and medications
  • Manage upcoming appointments or see past appointment summaries
  • Securely send and receive messages with your healthcare team
  • Add images or documents to your health record such as a personal directive
  • Provide support to a family member or loved one receiving care
  • Request prescription renewals (when prescriptions need to be filled or are expired)
  • Have access to trusted health information resources
  • Share smartphone and medical device data (Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Withings compatible devices) with your AHS and partner care teams
  • Request updates to your Connect Care health record, such as changes to your allergies, medications or current health problems
  • Find out about research studies that may interest you, when available

Access MyHealth Records with your MyAlberta Digital ID

Sign into MyHealth Records with your existing MyAlberta Digital ID username and password. If you do not have a MyAlberta Digital ID account, create a new account to access MyHealth Records.

Instructions on how to create a MyHealth Records account

  1. Create your MyAlberta Digital ID account. Play Video: How to create MyAlberta Digital ID account
  2. Confirm your identity online using your Alberta-issued driver's license or identification card
  3. By regular mail, you will receive an activation code in a confirmation letter to verify your account. Make sure you verify your MyAlberta Digital ID online within 90 days of creating your account to access your MyHealth Records
  4. Sign in with your MyAlberta Digital ID username and password to access your MyHealth Records. Play Video: How to register for MyHealth Records

MyHealth Records Support at 1-844-401-4016

Call the toll-free support line if you:

  • Need help setting up your MyAlberta Digital ID.
  • Need help signing up for or using MyHealth Records (My Personal Records and MyAHS Connect).
