A donor coordinator is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on call.
Health Care Professionals only who require immediate assistance should contact the University of Alberta Hospital Switchboard at 780-407-8822 and ask for the on call HOPE Coordinator or CTC Tissue Specialist to be paged.

Adolescent Medicine consultation is a outpatient service available for youth age 12 - 17 years with complex concerns related to sexual health and contraception, substance use, adherence to treatment, developmental considerations for adolescents pre/post-transplant, transition to adult healthcare, long COVID/Post COVID Condition fatigue and mental health, and gender affirming care.
Assessment, consultation and / or short term treatment is provided by Adoelscent Medicine subspecialists, bridging the physical and psychosocial components of youth health. As required, a medical examination is incorporated into the assessment. Adolescent Medicine does not provide primary care services.

The Anticoagulation Clinic (ACC) is staffed by pharmacists that provide initiation and ongoing management of anticoagulant therapies. The ACC manages patients at high thrombotic or bleeding risk, performing the following:
After 6 months of management by the ACC, all patients will be assessed for transfer of anticoaglant management to their primary care physician, with only those at high thrombotic / bleed risk or having ongoing anticoagulant control issued being kept within the ACC.
Patients accepted are prioritized based on risk, with the following factors:

The Clinic Coordinator will act as a link between families and community programs to help coordinate care, and offers:

Stroke Service Coordinators work with health care providers, practitioners, specialists and educators to ensure the latest stroke information, research, technology and evidence-based practice are integrated in the delivery of standardized stroke care in the areas of stroke prevention, acute care, rehabilitation, and community re-engagement.
