Infant and Preschool Assessment & Outreach Service
The 1- to 2-day assessment will:
- help families / caregivers understand and learn more about the child's developmental disability/disabilities
- direct the family / caregiver to appropriate community resources.
The family is provided with a brief summary of the findings, diagnosis, and recommendations on the day of assessment; a detailed report is mailed to the family and referring physician after the assessment.
IPAS (Infant and Preschool Assessment Service) does not do assessments when the purpose is only to access treatment funding, determine school or adoption placements, or monitor progress.
Virtual assessment options are available. Please note: Fort McMurray Outreach assessments are virtual only.
