Audiologists are hearing specialists who are trained to identify, diagnose, measure, and treat hearing disorders or balance problems. They use a variety of devices to measure hearing and the type and extent of hearing loss.
Most provinces require a licence, and the requirements for the licence vary. Typically, a doctorate or master's degree in audiology is required. Audiologists may be certified by the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
