Health Information
Respiratory illness—like influenza, COVID-19, and RSV—affects the airway and lungs. Vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and the people around you against respiratory illness.
It’s recommended that all Albertans age 6 months and older get the influenza vaccine every year.
It's safe to get the COVID-19 vaccine and influenza vaccine at the same time. These vaccines are given as separate doses, but you may choose to get both at the same appointment.
Everyone 6 months and older can get COVID-19 vaccine.
RSV immunization is available for adults age 75 years and older living in the community and adults age 60 years and older who live in a continuing care or supportive living facility.
Pneumococcal immunization is available for some people based on age and medical conditions. It may be offered at the same time as influenza and/or COVID-19 immunization.
