Foodborne illness
Foodborne illness, often call food poisoning, is caused by eating or drinking something that’s unsafe (contaminated) because of bacteria, parasites, or viruses. Food can become contaminated at any point – where it grows, where it’s processed or prepared, or when and how it’s served.
Find out what to do if you or your loved ones have foodborne illness. Talk to your healthcare provider or call Health Link at 811 if you have any questions.
