The Diagnostic Reports tool shows these types of reports:
Reports are retrieved from Alberta Netcare (the provincial electronic health record application) and are usually available within 48 hours after your test or procedure. If your report is not available, wait at least 10 business days before contacting the healthcare provider who ordered the test or procedure.
My Personal Records displays reports for tests and procedures completed on or after March 20, 2023. Only reports for tests and procedures completed in Alberta are available.
If you have questions about your report, speak with the health care provider who ordered the test or procedure.
You can print your report information using the print reports tool.
Most lab results available in Alberta Netcare can be viewed in My Personal Records. When you first start using My Personal Records, you will see lab results from the past 18 months. New results are added each time you sign in. See a full list of available result types here.
Lab results reflect the information available in Alberta Netcare each time you log in. This information cannot be changed or edited.
If you think something is missing or incorrect, contact MyHealth Alberta Account Support at 1-800-315-6028. If you have questions about your results, contact the health care provider who ordered the test.
The Procedures tool in My Personal Records lets you securely view your operative, procedure, and investigation reports from Alberta Netcare on your device.
Reports appear as soon as they become available, which may take up to 7 days. In some cases, you may see a report before your health care provider does.
Reports from Alberta Netcare are marked with a blue line and cannot be edited.
Before opening one, you will be asked to confirm that you want to view it. Some reports contain sensitive information.
You can also self-enter information for tests and procedures that do not automatically appear in My Personal Records like dental work and surgeries from another province.
Self-entered information is marked with a yellow line and can be edited.
The Respiratory Health tool tracks the number of breaths you take each minute. Normal adult breathing rates range from 12 – 20 breaths per minute. Measuring your breathing rate often helps you find out if your body is getting enough oxygen.
