Important

The COVID-19 vaccine may not be given to those who have had a severe allergic reaction to any of the vaccine ingredients.

Please talk to your healthcare professional for advice before booking an immunization appointment if any of the following apply to you:

• pregnant or breastfeeding
• immunosuppressed or have an autoimmune or bleeding disorder

If you are not in the current group of eligible health care workers and think you may have received the invite email in error, please report it here. To see the list of eligible health care workers, please visit the Government of Alberta vaccine website.

Any staff member or physician who tries to book an immunization if not eligible would be in breach of the Appropriate Prioritization of Access to Health Services Policy. This could lead to discipline up to and including dismissal.

• Respiratory Therapist
• Intensive Care Unit
• COVID-19 Unit
• Surgical Unit or Operating Room
• Emergency Department
• Medicine Unit
• Long Term Care or Designated Supportive Living
• Home Care Worker
• Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians
• Acute Care or Community Site with Variants of Concern (VOC) Outbreak

COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed through a phased immunization program. Exact amounts and timelines are subject to change. Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services are being very thoughtful and strategic around who will be eligible to receive vaccine as it becomes available in our province.

• fever
• new onset of cough or worsening of chronic cough
• new or worsening shortness of breath
• new or worsening difficulty breathing
• sore throat
• runny nose

You are legally required to isolate or quarantine if:

• you test positive for COVID-19.
• you have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat that is not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition.
• you have been in contact with someone known to have COVID-19.
• you have travelled outside Canada within the last 14 days.

You may book a COVID-19 immunization appointment but select a date that is after your isolation or quarantine period.
