AHS pediatric rehabilitation

Yo​​u, your family, and your healthcare providers work together every step of the way to:

  • understand your child’s strengths, abilities, and challenges
  • take part in activities that are important to th​em
  • set therapy goals and activities to help your child develop skills
  • recover from a range of health conditions

AHS provides pediatric rehab in community, outpatient, and specialized rehab settings. The healthcare providers involved in care​ may vary. Examples may include:

  • Audiology​
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Psychology​
  • Recreation Therapy
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Speech-Language Pathology
  • Social Work
  • Spiritual Health

AHS pediatric therapy services

Alberta Health Services (AHS) offers services for children and youth who have developmental or medical conditions or both. Services focus on:

  • health and development needs of infants and children in the early years
  • episodic care (care given during a set period of time to address a specific health concern or need) for children and youth
