Injuries and pain

Help your child learn to manage injuries and pain.

Overview

Your child or youth may have pain for many different reasons. This is sometimes related to bone, joint, or muscle injuries such as fractures (breaks), sprains and strains. Sometimes medical conditions can cause problems and pain in bones, joints, or muscles. Most of the time pain is temporary. However, sometimes it can last a long time or be stronger.

Pediatric rehabilitation can help with recovery.

Our work takes place on historical and contemporary Indigenous lands, including the territories of Treaty 6, Treaty 7 & Treaty 8 and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta and 8 Métis Settlements. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous communities that have been forged in urban centres across Alberta.
