MyHealth Records​​

MyHealth Records is an online tool that lets Albertans 14 years of age or older see some of their health information from Alberta Netcare, the provincial electronic health record.

MyHealth Records also lets you keep better track of your health in one secure place. You can get, store, and manage your personal health information.

MyHealth Records can be used on a computer, tablet, and smartphone.

Parents and guardians can check their child’s most recent COVID-19 test result. You need:

  • Your child’s Alberta Personal Health Number (on the Alberta Personal Health Card)
  • The date of the child’s most recent COVID-19 swab test within the last 30 days

My Personal Records​

My Personal Records lets you:

  • access your COVID-19 test results, as well as results for your child, as soon as they’re ready
  • see medicines you received from community pharmacies
  • see most immunizations you received in Alberta
  • see common lab test results
  • keep journals to track your mood, sleep, weight and fitness goals
  • upload and track information from your personal health devices, including blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and fitness trackers that are supported by My Personal Records
  • print out reports to share with your healthcare providers
  • share your record with someone you trust
  • safely exchange messages with your healthcare providers, provided they are using the same messaging tool
  • add and store other personal health information

My Personal Records will add even more features in the months and years ahead.

A secure place for
your health information

Protecting your private health information is a top priority.

  • You need a free MyAlberta Digital ID. This involves a number of steps to verify your identity
  • Your information is protected using both user authentication and data encryption. This means you need to prove you are who you say you are and that special tools are used to protect your information
  • My Personal Records has had a privacy impact assessment to make sure your privacy is protected
  • Third-party security auditors regularly test the service’s security

Registered account users can view most of their lab test results in My Personal Records (MyHealth Records).

Additional Lab test results will continue to be made available. By summer 2021, all results will be available.

MyAHS Connect

MyAHS Connect is a new tool to help Alberta patients manage their health and healthcare experience.

MyAHS Connect is part of a larger project called Connect Care. With Connect Care, your AHS and partner health records will be stored in a single location and your healthcare team will have a more complete picture of your health history. Connect Care will be phased in across Alberta between November 2019 and 2024. Health organizations that work with Alberta Health Services (AHS), such as Covenant Health and Carewest, will also use Connect Care.

MyAHS Connect lets you:

  • view important health information from your Connect Care health record from AHS and partner hospitals, facilities and programs such as test results, medications and visit summaries
  • communicate securely with members of your AHS and partner care teams, helping you to prepare for or follow up on a recent clinic visit
  • view past and future appointments with your AHS and partner care teams
  • request updates to your Connect Care health record, such as changes to your allergies, medications​ or current health problems
  • share smartphone and medical device data (Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, and Withings compatible devices) with your AHS and partner care teams
  • share images and documents with your AHS and partner care teams
  • view and pay any fees you owe to AHS and partner care teams for things such as crutches and other types of medical equipment
  • find out about research studies that may interest you

MyAHS Connect is available to patients at sites that have started using Connect Care, who are age 14 or over, and who have Alberta-issued identification. Connect Care will be phased in across Alberta between November 2019 and 2024.

If the facility you are visiting has started using Connect Care, your healthcare team will provide you with sign-up instructions which will guide you in accessing your MyAHS Connect account. You may receive the instructions via email, as a printed letter during your visit or included on your After Visit Summary. If you need another copy of the sign-up instructions, please contact your clinic.​
