This service is free of cost and offers an average of 2 - 5 sessions of individual counselling plus a 14 - 16 week group treatment where clients work with facilitators to explore the underlying causes of IPV and develop strategies to promote healthy relationships. Depending on the community, services may be delivered virtually, in-person, or both. PFVTP is provided by Counselling Alberta (Calgary Counselling Centre) and contracted service providers in collaboration with community partners through Recovery Alberta such as FAOS and FACS, law enforcement, crown prosecutors, Probation, Children’s Services, and victim services as part of a coordinated community response to IPV.

We are a youth-friendly clinic and will see people that fit into any of the following categories:

  • are *29 years old or younger
  • have no Alberta Health Care
  • can't afford birth control
  • need an interpreter
  • need special services (HIV PrEP, pregnancy options support, emergency contraception
  • have a need for our services that they can't meet elsewhere

*The Summit - Centre for Youth Resilience clinic location can only see people 24 years and younger.

Okotoks Health and Wellness clinic: All teens and young adults and any person with barriers to service (e.g., no Alberta Health Care, low income, or English is not first language).

  • need an interpreter

  • have a need for our services that they can't meet elsewhere

*The Summit - Centre for Youth Resilience clinic location can only see people 24 years and younger.

Okotoks Health and Wellness clinic: All teens and young adults and any person with barriers to service (e.g., no Alberta Health Care, low income, or English is not first language).
