The Day Hospital is a short-term and goal-oriented service. The length of stay at Day Hospital is dependent on individual needs and will be assessed ongoing. Individuals will work with an interdisciplinary team to meet the identified stabilization goal. Services include:

The Addiction Recovery Centre (ARC) is a residential facility that provides safe detoxification services.

The goal of this program is to engage young adults and their families in treatment and transition of their care from an inpatient environment to the community. From the beginning of treatment initiation and planning our clients are supported by a simple transition of follow-up appointments and care through community young adult services to ensure successful community re-integration. The programing is individualized and led by the young person; reinforcing recovery, engagement and inclusive care. The programming is geared towards a twenty-one day length of stay with the primary component of programming being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Between 17 and 26 years of age and exhibiting at least one of the following criteria:
- Primary diagnosis of a DSM-IV TR Axis I Disorder and one of:
- Decompensation of existing illnesses requiring inpatient medication readjustment or stabilization
- Benefit from specialized assessment and recovery focused programming to optimize level of functioning and facilitate successful reintegration into the community
- Ability to engage in structural programming using cognitive therapy strategies
Cafeteria services offer food and beverages at Alberta Health Services facilities. Catering services and vending machines are available at some sites. Each cafeteria services site team is dedicated to creating great food, inspiring healthy eating, and providing outstanding customer service to support the health of Albertans.

Computed tomography, also known as "CT Scan" or "CAT Scan", is when pictures of the body are taken using radiation and computer-enhanced imaging.

General Radiography uses x-rays to produce images of the structures inside the body, particularly bones. X-ray beams can pass through the body, but they are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the material they pass through.
In accordance with Alberta's Health Information Act, this is a service which enables the release of individually identifiable health information with or without the consent of an individual.

A basic fee of $25.00 is applied to all requests which includes up to 20 pages depending on record format i.e. paper, electronic or microfilm record. Each additional page costs from .25 to .50 cents per page. Additional costs may apply. Fees are applied in accordance with the Health Information Act.
If you are unable to pay the fee, please submit evidence of financial hardship.

This service is available on-site in hospitals and public health centres. Upon request, staff can be present at hospital rounds, medical appointments and case conferences.
Aboriginal Cultural Helpers also gather traditional medicines, educate about ceremonial protocol, and are available to healthcare staff for consultation on a diverse range of Indigenous patient issues.
Patients and clients may also be asked about their healthcare experience to help ensure they receive the best possible healthcare.

ECT is done only on Mon-Wed-Fri durning the day.
This program offers a specialized treatment for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations with the goal of improving mood and personal function by applying physical and/or chemical stimulation. This is accomplished by inducing a seizure with physical stimulation to both inpatient and outpatient clients.
The typical presentation of clients for Neuromodulation would be clients who are treatment resistant or who are not able to wait for medications to take effect based on acuity of symptoms.
Although depression is a common presentation for treatment, we also treat those with other mental health concerns (schizophrenia, Mania, autism, etc).
Typically a series of 12 treatments over 4 weeks would be recommended. Maintenance therapy is also available after a series.

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is a therapeutic medical procedure that was approved by Health Canada in 2002 for the treatment of psychiatric disorders, such as major depression. rTMS is a non-invasive treatment which uses a specifically designed magnetic coil to apply stimulation to target areas in the brain. The treatment utilizes powerful and focused magnetic field pulses to stimulate the neurons in the brain.
