Once the referral is received, a letter is sent to the family telling them how long the wait will be. The wait list is reviewed every week. Priorities are decided by client needs. Families are encouraged to contact the Early Intervention Program if they need immediate help.

The focus of intervention is short term recovery. Clinicians help clients generate achievable goals for stabilization and change. Parental involvement is expected for children / youth unless a client is assessed as a mature minor. Services are available for children, youth, adults and older adults with addiction and / or mental health concerns. Clinicians work with individuals and families to identify goals of treatment as they relate to their moderate to severe addiction and / or mental health concerns. What can I expect?
Each day is intentionally designed with the preferences, interests and needs of each member in mind. The schedule is predictable to help with memory retention, yet flexible to accommodate individual preference and endurance. The content varies to provide interesting and stimulating programming. Everyday living activities are incorporated throughout the day to feel like home
Ask your case manager for a referral. If you do not have a case manager, call the Continuing Care Access line 1-855-371-4122 for a referral. Family, friends, neighbors or health professional can also call on your behalf.

Home Care clients (with a valid Alberta Health Care Card) who live in a community setting are eligible to participate in our Adult Day Programs.
Those who live in supportive living, long term care, or are receiving funding from Persons with Developmental Disabilities are not able to attend the Adult Day Program.
All programs have a limited capacity. If the program you are interested in does not currently have space you will be added to a waitlist and prioritized based on your need. We will contact you as a space becomes available.
Our Adult Day Program costs $15.00 per day, and includes a nutritious meal and snack.
Cost should not be a barrier to accessing Adult Day Programs. Should you have any questions or concerns about the fee, please contact your AHS Case Manager or the day program in your area directly.
Provides after-hour service for people with minor illnesses and injuries to be diagnosed and treated. Lab and x-ray services available.

Your baby will be referred to Community Hearing Screening if:
A community screening site will call and offer a hearing screening appointment for your baby soon after their birth.
The results of your baby's hearing screening and any follow up needed will be shared with you.
Hearing screening is the best way to find out if your baby has hearing loss.
Hearing screening is quick, safe, and will not hurt your baby. Your baby's hearing is important for many areas of child and brain development. Hearing loss can delay your child's speech, learning and social skills.

All babies born or living in Alberta are offered screening for permanent hearing loss within 90 days of birth. It's best to have your baby's hearing screened before they are 1 month old. Newborn hearing screening is free. Additional eligibility requirements are based on your baby's age and health status. If your baby is born with bilateral aural atresia or presents with meningitis, they will be referred to Audiology Services for a diagnostic ABR assessment.
After-hours (evenings and weekends) coverage available for ambulatory care patients as needed.
General Radiography uses x-rays to produce images of the structures inside the body, particularly bones. X-ray beams can pass through the body, but they are absorbed in different amounts depending on the density of the material they pass through.
