The focus of intervention is short term recovery. Clinicians help clients generate achievable goals for stabilization and change. Parental involvement is expected for children / youth unless a client is assessed as a mature minor. Services are available for children, youth, adults and older adults with addiction and / or mental health concerns. Clinicians work with individuals and families to identify goals of treatment as they relate to their moderate to severe addiction and / or mental health concerns. Adults and youth living with severe and persistent mental disorders who have been charged with low risk minor offences that require immediate support and referral to mental health services.
All other indididuals are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

A range of supports are provided to persons living with severe and persistent mental illness while they are living in the community and whenever possible, while they are an inpatient.

For people ages 18 or older but referring doctors can call if they have someone younger than 18 with early psychosis.

Mental health promotion facilitators work with schools and various community agencies to strengthen resiliency amongst the population.

There is a fee for Mental Health First Aid, suicide intervention training and other like courses. Information and workshops are at no cost.

Provides assessment and treatment for individuals who have been mandated through the court system, community corrections (probation), or Children and Family Services for charges related to intimate partner violence. Where space permits, the program is also available through a self-referral. Participants in the Provincial Family Violence Treatment Program (PFVTP) will engage in comprehensive assessment and treatment services to address factors that contribute to intimate partner violence (IPV). This service is free of cost and offers 12 - 16 week group treatment where clients work with facilitators to explore the underlying causes of IPV and develop strategies to promote healthy relationships. Individual treatment sessions may be available based on client needs. Depending on the community, services may be delivered virtually, in-person, or both. PFVTP is provided by Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health Services contracted service providers in collaboration with community partners such as law enforcement, crown prosecutors, Probation, Children’s Services, and victim services as part of a coordinated community response to IPV.

This is an AHS-funded service and there is no cost to the client.
Single-session walk-in clinic for clients are available on Thursdays between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM with cut-off times for arrival at 8:15 AM and 3:00 PM.
To book a same-day session, residents can call between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Thursdays for both adult services and child & youth services. Clients in crisis are seen on a priority basis
Provides a short-term counselling service, to help people make changes in their lives. Screening and referrals may also be completed to connect clients with additional services.
Sometimes people feel overwhelmed, aren't sure what to do, and need more than a friend to talk to.
Counsellor's use a team approach and focus on helping people make changes in their lives by learning what their strengths are and using them.
Reasons for needing this support may include:
Confidential counselling sessions are 50 minutes.
If appropriate, people are provided information on other addiction and/or mental health services.
