You are assessed by your Home Care Case Manager. If you qualify for the service, home care will discuss your community choices.
You can be referred by your Home Care case coordinator. If you qualify for the service, you'll have to contact the facility of your choice for a housing and financial assessment.

General hours of meal services:
Breakfast: 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM
Lunch: 11:50 AM to 1:00 PM
Supper: 4:50 PM to 5:45 PM

Short-term care provided in a continuing care living centre for persons living at home to provide a break for their caregiver.
Respite application is submitted through a home care case manager
Fees are the same as the current continuing care accommodation charges and depend on the type of respite room (semi-private or private).

Clients are assessed during the intake process to ensure placement in the most appropriate residential care setting available.
There’s a cost for housing (room and board set fee by Alberta Health) and extra services (i.e. laundry, cable, internet, telephone, etc). Care is paid for by AHS.
There may be help to pay for the service if you have a low income or get income assistance.
