Gender identity is your internal, deeply held sense of gender. Some people identity as a man or woman (boy or girl). For some people, their gender identity doesn’t fit neatly into one of those genders. They may identify as non-binary, agender, without gender, or use other terms. Some people may not identify with a gender at all.
Some become aware of this in childhood. Others make this discovery as adults.
