Canada's Childhood Immunization Schedules
National recommendations
Information about vaccines and who should get them is available at the online Canadian Immunization Guide at www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/publicat/cig-gci/index-eng.php.
Provincial recommendations
Child immunization schedules may vary in each province and territory. Check with your doctor or local health unit about the schedule that is recommended for children in your province or territory. You may be able to find the schedules online. For example:
- Alberta's schedule is at www.health.alberta.ca/health-info/imm-routine-schedule.html.
- British Columbia's schedule is at www.healthlinkbc.ca/toolsvideos/immunization.
- Ontario's schedule is at www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/immunization/static/immunization_tool.html.
You can also go to the immunization schedule tool on the Canadian government website at http://healthycanadians.gc.ca/apps/schedule-calendrier/index-eng.php. Here you can enter your province or territory and your child's birth date to see the list of recommended immunizations.
