New Features are continually added to My Personal Records, focusing on improving the design and user experience.  New Features will be highlighted here. Click the “New Features” icon to view more. You can also note the last date it was updated.​

The Immunizations tool helps you keep track of all your immunizations given through public health services in Alberta. This information is updated frequently. Contact MHR Support at 1-800-315-6028 if your information is wrong or not up-to-date. 

You can click on an immunization in the list to edit or delete it.​

The "Set up Notifications" blue button allows you to receive updates about your immunization record. It also lets you send notifications to someone you trust. If you want someone you trust to get notifications about your immunizations, share your record with them first so they can see your updates.

You can see more information by clicking the small "information icon" button . Click on the card to open into a new screen so the information is easier to read.

The blue "Print Immunizations" button allows you to create and print a PDF report of your information.

Click on “Print Immunizations", select your preferred date range (all days or anywhere between 7 days to 12 months), and click ‘save’ on your selection.

You can also select what type of information you want to see printed on your report (allergies, appointment information, blood glucose, etc.) and click "Save" on your selection.

When your selections have been made, click the blue "Export" button to produce the report. The PDF report will be created and you can save anywhere on your device.

Once you have made your selection, click "Save".

Once you have made your selection, click "Save".

You will see two sections in the Medications tool:

• Dispensed Prescription Medications
• Other Medications

When you start using My Personal Records, the "Alberta Netcare Prescription Medications" section will show your dispensed prescription medications for the last 18 months. New dispensed prescription medications from most pharmacies show up every time you login.

You can see more information by clicking the small "information icon" button . Click on the card to open into a new screen so the information is easier to read.

Updates to this section will depend on when the pharmacy adds your information to Alberta Netcare. You cannot change or edit this information. Contact MHR Support at 1-800-315-6028 if your information does not look correct.

Dispensed Prescription Medications

This section shows your medications which includes:

• Medication information
• Your refills

Discontinued medication will have its name struck through.

You can see more information by clicking the small “information icon” button . Click on the card to open into a new screen so the information is easier to read.

The "Set up Notifications" blue button allows you to receive updates about your Medications or send notifications to someone you trust. If you want someone you trust to get notifications about your medications, share your record with them first so they can see your updates.

Other Medications

You can add other prescriptions, such as over-the-counter medications, and vitamin or herbal supplements.

You can add medications by clicking the "red button". 

You can enter the following information:

• Medication name
• Date the prescription was filled
• The day you started your over-the-counter medication, such as vitamin or herbal supplement
• Strength (such as 500 mg)
• Dosage (such as 1 tablet or 2 drops)
• Frequency (such as once a day)
• Route (for example by mouth or inhaler)
• Date you discontinued taking the medication

If you check the "Enter Prescription Information" box, you can enter the following information:

• Your provider’s name (who prescribed the medication)
• The generic name of your medication
• Side effects
• Any other important notes

You can click on any other medications in the list to edit or delete it.

The "Set up Notifications" blue button allows you to receive updates about your Medications or send notifications to someone you trust. If you want someone you trust to get notifications about your medications, share your record with them first so they can see your updates.

The "Print Medications" blue button allows you to create and print a PDF report of the information in My Personal Records.

When you start using My Personal Records, the Lab Results tool will show your lab test results for the last 18 months from Alberta Netcare. Going forward, all lab test results will be updated.  Please note that updates in My Personal Records will only occur if new lab results become available.

Talk to your healthcare provider if you have questions about your lab test results.

Each time you log into MyHealth Records, this information is updated, but only if there are new test results available. If your information does not appear to be correct, call MHR Support at 1-800-315-6028.

You can filter your results by clicking on “Show Filter Options”  click on the down arrow next to “All” to select the number of days you want to see from the drop-down list.  You can also search for a lab test by entering the test name in the “Search” box.

Test results are listed by date so the newest results will be displayed first.

Lab tests are grouped according to how they were ordered by your doctor. For example, if your doctor ordered a series of blood tests, your doctor would select CBC-Differential on the lab requisition form and your specific test results would appear under the CBC-Differential heading.

Results are shown within a group on individual cards on the page and include the following:

• Status
• Reference Range (where applicable)
• Abnormality

To see the history of a lab test, click on the test name - this will open your test history on the right side of your screen.  Some results may appear in a graph while others will not include a graph.  All results are displayed with text. 

If you want more information about your test results, click on the ‘Information’ orange button at the bottom of the test history.

The "Set up Notifications" button allows you to receive updates about your Lab Results or send notifications to someone you trust. If you want someone you trust to get notifications about your immunizations, share your record with them first so they can see your updates. Please view the Share My record (video) for more information.

The "Print Lab Results" blue button allows you to create and print a PDF report of the information in MyHealth Records.

The Blood Pressure and Pulse tool lets you track your blood pressure readings and pulse. Click the “red button" to add a blood pressure or pulse reading. For blood pressure, the systolic pressure is the top number and the diastolic pressure is the bottom number.

Your blood pressure readings can also be viewed on the graph in the list below. If your blood pressure reading is in your target normal range you'll see a green dot beside the number; if it's high or low, you'll see a red dot beside the number.

You can set or change your target normal blood pressure range by choosing “Settings and Preferences” in “Tools and Settings.” Talk to your healthcare provider about what your target blood pressure range should be.​

You may filter by date range or sort by date, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure or pulse. Click on a blood pressure or pulse reading in the list to edit or delete it.

Your personal health record can be shared with someone you trust. You control the kind of information you share and what the person you share with can do with your information. Some information in your personal health record might be sensitive. Before you share your record, think: what would you want the other person to see, and what type of information are you comfortable sharing with them. 

How do I share My Personal Records with another person?

1. Go to the Account Dashboard and Proceed to My Personal Records.
2. Select the Share My Record tool on your Home page, on the Tools and Settings page or from your Profile icon in the top right corner of the page.
   
   
3. Click the “Share health information with someone you trust” blue button. 
   
   
4. Enter the email address of the person (i.e. Recipient) you are sharing your record with. You will need to do this twice to confirm the address is correct.
5. Enter a passcode. The person you are sharing your record with needs to enter this passcode when they accept your invitation.
6. Choose a sharing level. The sharing level describes how much access you are giving to the person you are sharing your record with.
   
   
7. Choose the types of information in My Personal Records that you would like to share with the person.
8. Choose an access expiration date. On this date, the person’s access to your record ends, and they can no longer see your record. You can also choose no expiration date.
9. Click Send Invitation.
   
   

It is possible that the person you are sharing your record with could discuss or show your information with or to another person. It is important to only share access to your record with someone you trust.

What should I know about passcodes?

When you send someone (the Recipient) an invitation to view your record, you need to enter a passcode. Choose a passcode between 6 to 10 characters. You can use numbers and uppercase or lowercase letters. Do not use special characters such as #, %, or punctuation.

The person you are sharing your record with needs to enter the passcode to accept your invitation. To keep your invitation secure, do not email the passcode and do not share the passcode with other people. Share your passcode with the recipient in another way, such as a phone call. If you forget the passcode, you need to resend your invitation with a new passcode. 

What levels of access (Sharing Level) can I choose when sharing my record with someone?

• View Only: The person you share your record with can see the information you choose to share with them.
• View and Update: The person you share your record with can read, add, or delete some of the information in your record, depending on what you share with them. Please note that they are not able to add, update or delete Clinical-Based Information provided by Netcare, etc. ​

Only choose the level of access you feel comfortable sharing. You can change someone's level of access or delete their access to your record at any time.

Information Types

There are four types of information you can share (Health Summary, Journal Entries, Results & Readings and Tools & Settings). You can choose to share all of the information within a type or select specific information within the type.

How do I share My Personal Records with more than one person?

You need to send separate invitations to each person that you would like to share your record with.

Only share access to your health information with someone you trust.

You have the ability to print any and all sections of your personal health record by creating a PDF report of your information in MyHealth Records. This allows you to provide a copy to your health care provider or people you trust. You should only share information from your health record with people you trust. It is your decision whether to share information from your health records. Please note that a footer will display at the bottom of the screen for your reference to the Terms and Conditions, Accessibility and Privacy statements.
