Review your test results

It is important to know what your test results are and what they mean. Take time to discuss your results with your healthcare provider. Your healthcare provider may be able to tell you the results of your digital rectal exam and discuss next steps with you right away.

If your healthcare provider orders more tests for you, talk with them so you know what your test results mean and how they will help you and your team decide what to do next.

Medical terms can be hard to understand. Ask your healthcare provider for explanations and examples to make sure you fully understand.
