Moving around and caring for yourself

This information will help you move around, care for yourself, and do your daily activities safely after surgery. Do a little more at a time, and be careful not to move in any ways that could hurt your knee​.

Remember, you’ll need to use your walking aids (crutches or walker) until your healthcare team says you can stop. Most people need to use walking aids for the first 6 weeks after surgery.
