Speech is the way you make sounds so you can communicate. To say speech sounds correctly, you have to plan how you’re going to move your lips, tongue, and jaw, and then move them all at the same time. Some people have problems making individual sounds correctly, combining sounds, or putting sounds in the right order to make words. This can affect their ability to speak clearly and be understood by others.
