About Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP)

Speech-Language Patho​logists (SLP) assess and treat infants, children and adults who have problems with communication or feeding and swallowing. This includes problems with speaking, understanding and using language, voice, and fluency. These problems may be present from birth, have developed over time or result from an illness or trauma.

Audiologists

Audiologists are hearing specialists. They evaluate and support infants, adults and c​hildren with hearing loss, ringing in the ear (tinnitus) and balance disorders.​​
